  • Review: Wine Advocate -- The cherry-colored 2007 Pinot Noir was barrel-fermented and aged in oak for eight months. It has enticing varietal aromas of raspberry and strawberry leading to a friendly, velvety-textured, sweetly fruited Pinot with attractive flavors and good length. Drink this excellent value over the next four years. Score: 90. Jay Miller, December 2008.
  • Comments: Wine Maker -- Shining ruby red color. A fresh, fruity and velvety wine with great body. With red berries, strawberries, violet and chocolate aromas, it is a vigorous and attractive wine which combines strength and elegance. The Arizu family bottles wine under more than two dozen labels at a huge former flour mill in the center of downtown Luján de Cuyo. The Luigi Bosca bottlings are updated versions of traditional Argentine wine, with more concentration and personality than most. Gala 1 and 2 are modern-style red blends bottled under the Luigi Bosca umbrella. Among this winery's endless range of wines are one of Argentina's handful of excellent Viogniers and a distinctly Burgundy-style Chardonnay from very old vines. Their Sauvignon Blanc is also a standout.
