- Review: Summertime. Cool breezes. Tree lined mountains on the horizon. That’s the taste you can associate with this young wine. And for once, I can totally agree with the description on the back of the bottle: the wonderful aroma of apples. As the QbA (a government regulated designation) in its name signifies, this is a middle-quality wine. You have to sip and savor to get the most out of it. It is slightly acidic with just a hint of sweetness. It has a light, almost effervescent finish and a fruity flavor. The alcohol content is low (9%), so it’s an easy, smooth wine that doesn’t bite. And it pairs well with those hot sauce drenched tacos and burritos.
